CMO's main responsibilities

The CMO leads sales management, product development, distribution channel management, marketing communications (including advertising and promotions), pricing, market research, and customer service. Every one of these responsibilities depends upon the CMO's ability using the written word. The CMO must be able to explain the Biz Connection concepts across the specific industry platforms that empower the Sales and Marketing Departments.

The CMO’s day-to-day tasks may often categorically differ from one another,  the fluid nature needed for the CMO's skill set involve language skills needed to stitch together varying aspects of the company. Thus, in a given day the CMO completes tasks that fall into these categories:

  • Analytical tasks, such as pricing and market research,
  • Creative tasks such as designing advertising and promotions,
  • Interpersonal tasks such as coordinating many different styles of thinking in a single team.

 

The CMO must quickly react to changing circumstances witin the Referral Fee Exchange, and must help shape the company's understanding of a particular product, sales strategy, or marketing idea. Each of these products comes from a different department, so the CMO must be a nexus of information: it is a highly receptive role, with involvement in departments such as, but not limited to, production, information technology (Social Media), corporate communications, documentation, public relations, law, human resources, and finance.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate growth, sales, and marketing strategies (such as creating product roadmap) for the Biz Connection Exchange.
  • Perform risk mitigation.
  • Develop programs with quantifiable objectives to measure results.
  • Implement and manage marketing budget.
  • Oversee the development of new products, and Leverage data and analytics to drive insights.
  • Develop segmentation, competitive analysis/market intelligence, prospecting, lead generation, product and market development, pricing, promotions, communications and budgets, Oversee sales force effectiveness, strategic planning, services units and revenue retention and growth.
  • Develop and measure key metrics around the business including user acquisition, conversion rates, engagement rates, satisfaction and renewal rates.

Desired Qualifications: The candidate chief marketing officer should have a master's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience and 10+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation.  Should have experience in partnering with an executive team, and have a high level of written and oral communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with an MBA in Finance and the Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations.

CTO's main responsibilities

The candidate for CTO will be focused on the technology integral to the overall Biz Connection Exchange, including management of corporate websites, and being highly adept in the IT field. He or she will be responsible for day to day technology support needs. You will need to maintain the integrity of our programming and 3rd party software platforms. He or she must be proficient in quantifying the needs for our clearing house functions. The CTO will be integrally involved with formulating intellectual property (IP) strategies and exploiting proprietary technologies.

Duties:

  • Identify opportunities and risks for the business.

  • Evaluates new technology and makes recommendations on technological solutions

  • Manage research and development (R&D).

  • Monitor technology and social trends that could impact the company.

  • Develops and directs all networking safeguards to reduce the risk of outside breaches and protect sensitive internal and external client information

  • Protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company’s data and servers.

  • Directs the development and possible implementation of policies in instances of a breach, also known as disaster recovery plans

  • Implement technical requirements for Internet marketing, social media and search engine optimization.

  • Participate in management decisions about corporate governance.

  • Communicate the company's technology strategy to partners, management, investors and employees. 

  • Perform regular security assessment and intrusion detection

  • Maintain current information about technology standards and compliance regulations.

  • Desired Qualifications: The candidate chief technology officer should have a bachelor degree in computer science, or equivalent 5+ year’s business experience with startup IT projects in a leadership role.  Should work well with an executive team, and have good written, oral communication and critical thinking skills.  They should be highly detailed oriented and priority driven. Preference will be given to candidates with an MBA in computer Science or related Information Technology Degree or minimum 7 years experience.

CFO's main responsibilities

The chief financial officer position is accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve our company assets and report accurate financial results.

Principal accountabilities are:

Planning

  1. Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
  2. Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
  3. Develop financial and tax strategies
  4. Manage the capital request and budgeting processes
  5. Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction

 

Operations

  1. Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team
  2. Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team
  3. Manage the accounting, human resources, investor relations, legal, tax, and treasury departments
  4. Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations
  5. Manage any third parties to which functions have been outsourced
  6. Oversee the company's transaction processing systems
  7. Implement operational best practices
  8. Oversee employee benefit plans, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package
  9. Supervise acquisition due diligence and negotiate acquisitions

 

Financial Information

  1. Oversee the issuance of financial information
  2. Personally review and approve all Form 8-K, 10-K, and 10-Q filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission
  3. Report financial results to the board of directors

 

Risk Management

  1. Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile
  2. Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry
  3. Construct and monitor reliable control systems
  4. Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
  5. Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
  6. Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
  7. Report risk issues to the audit committee of the board of directors
  8. Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations

 

Funding

  1. Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts

  2. Arrange for debt and equity financing

  3. Invest funds

  4. Invest pension funds

 

Third Parties

  1. Participate in conference calls with the investment community
  2. Maintain banking relationships
  3. Represent the company with investment bankers and investors
